Cynthia Hatfield
Cynthia Hatfield shows and sells fine art both locally and stateside. She has published drawings and paintings in 3 popular magazines; a recent National Art Education research journal and in “Home is where the Boat is”, a biography by Emy Thomas that is presently in its second printing and on sale in the Caribbean. Ms. Hatfield holds a B.A. in Fine Art from the University of Maryland with a minor in Zoology, as well as a Master’s of Art Education from Maryland Institute College of Art. She teaches art to (and learns from) children at St. Croix Country Day School. Ms. Hatfield has lived in the Caribbean for over 30 years, where taking the time to draw and paint from the land and sea around her continues to enrich her life and her art. Both of her children, Yvette and Simon, were born and raised on St. Croix where she lives with their dad, Roger.
