Anabel Alfonso
Anabel Alfonso Suarez was born in Santa Clara, Cuba (1986). She studied graphic design at the Superior Institute of Design (ISDI) in Havana. Since 2008 she has worked at the National Center for Sex Education (CENESEX) developing public awareness campaigns. She has also served as an illustrator for various publications such as the magazine La Jiribilla de Papel and has illustrated children’s books for the Guatemalan Ministry of Education and for the publishing house Editorial Gente Nueva. She has participated in group exhibitions with her posters and illustrations and has taught illustration workshops in Brazil as well as for the Office of the City Historian of Havana.
